What is the origin of the name, Linus Oakes?
Linus Oakes was named for that familiar, blanket-toting character named Linus, from the famous “Peanuts” cartoon. As readers of the Charles Schulz comic strip are aware, Linus Van Pelt is known for his intelligence, his concern for security, and his sharing of wholesome principles – qualities we are proud to share with our young namesake. Because our community is nestled on a hillside filled with majestic oak trees, the name, Linus Oakes, was created – a place of comfort, peace and security.
